The media is saying good things about degrees from online business schools. Increasing demand for graduates in business, higher acclaim for online degree programs, and networking and internship opportunities all make online business school an excellent educational opportunity.
Online Business Degree in Top 20
Online business schools got some extra support a few years ago, when US News and World Report ranked an online degree program in business among the top 20 business schools in the country.
Out of 20 nationally ranked business degree programs, the online degree program ranked fifteenth. Over 500 students were enrolled in the degree program as of 2005. The school has offered online degrees for over ten years.
Newsweek to Support Online Business Degree Program
In what newspapers across the country have called the first partnership between a publication and an online school, Newsweek is pairing up with an online school to offer business degrees. The news magazine will offer case studies, market studies, and other resources to the online degree program.
For Good Reason
Much of the recent press for online business degree programs has been positive, and for good reason. Starting salaries for graduates of business degree programs rose over 3% from 2004 to 2005, according to a CNN report. The same study showed that management positions were the second most sought-after in the workplace.
More than just a degree, online business schools offer the opportunity to network with other online students, instructors, and industry contacts. Online business schools often require internships or externships at the end of an online degree program. If you’re interested in a higher starting salary, networking with industry contacts, and even multi-media support, check out online degree programs in business. Your business career may be closer than you think.
